I’ve decided not to lug my laptop to Singapore for this short trip. It’s been the second month since I started with traditional chinese medicine and I’m glad the results are showing positively for my allergy problems. I could recall how TCM had helped my mom in her younger days when she was suffering from fibromyalgia and rheumatism. A two nights trip like this can be tiring when I traveled with a three year old. You really gotta be good at the balancing act of handling a stroller with your left hand and the luggage with your right. But the trouble was quickly forgotten once I got to Singapore. It was nevertheless a good break since I was able to catch up with an old friend who was visiting for Sabah. It was nice to do the things girls enjoy - sipping tea and digging into a piece of yummy treats from Canele. Can’t wait for another get together like this… after all these years of motherhood - I still miss the things girls do.

I know it’s been a while but I think I underestimated how busy I would be with a toddler and an infant. I knew it would be a lot but it’s actually more. If that makes any sense.
I have truly forgotten at what point a baby meets a milestone. I was glad to see that I kept a journal for my son’s first few months. I was also pretty good with his baby book for the first year. I have yet to write anything in Matthew’s baby book. Whoops, maybe that’s because he doesn’t have one yet.
Ok…I’ll get to the topic now. Fussy, fussy baby. Luckily Matthew is not colicky but he sure seems unhappy. He is worse in the evening but then falls asleep pretty hard at 10 something. He overall seems like an angry baby. He furrows his brow and frowns constantly. I can’t put him in the swing or the bouncy chair without him screaming after a minute passes. Apparently he likes to be held constantly.
I’ve heard you can’t spoil a baby in the first four months but it still worries me. He doesn’t nap in his crib all day. He normally sleeps on someone or in my arms. It is very difficult. I need to start giving him some tough-love soon. I absolutely refuse to have an unhappy baby.

As a home business owner, you may be careful on how to spend your money. But what is helpful is if you organized a plan on how to best save your hard-earned money. Shopping the sales, cut corners, conserve energy, book cheap flights and clip coupons are all positive steps to help you save. In other words, with some careful planning and organized thought, you can make your dollar stretch even further.
I read from an article that suggests that you should pay yourself first. This means you bill yourself as a way to keep track. You can have a portion of your check directly deposited into your savings account so you’ll never even miss it. Put part of it into savings for shorter term goals and put some into a retirement plan. One other way is to compare interest rates at different financial institutions to get the most bang for your savings!

When it comes to family travel, budget can be a primary factor to consider. Besides air travel costs, you have to take into consideration a family friendly accommodation and being accessible to amenities and places of attraction. This can be vital when you have small children with you. My cousins who travel with her two kids have to plan activities to keep them happy while finding time for themselves in between the day. They have been talking about vacationing in Orlando since the children have been pestering them about Disney World. One of the ways to save is to buy Discount Walt Disney World Tickets online at Orlando Fun Tickets, which is ‘the’ place to book dinner show tickets, Univeral Studio and water theme park tickets, magic shows…etc. With the convenience of online booking, tickets will be delivered to your doorstep with no stress on your part to collect them at the gate. This allows you to have an enjoyable vacation with you and your kids.

When you are feeling under the whether all the time perhaps it is because you are stressed. Stress alone can cause major psychological and mental problems. In fact, stress can cause self-induced exaggerated problems. So what are the causes of stress?
Monthly bills and expenses cause stress, especially if you do not have cash flow to pay the bills. Work will cause stress too, since you work hard to make sure your duties are correctly handled. Children cause stress. Especially nowadays, since the media, television, etc has polluted and corrupted the minds of our children by offering them nudity, violence, and other harmful actions on air. A bad relationship can cause stress. If you are in a bad relationship, it only affects your mind and physical well-being, causing you stress. There are many reasons a person can feel stressed. The upside is, you have the choice to make stress your best friend or worst enemy.

We have heard much about global warming and perhaps, you are also one of the protagonists in keeping our environment clean and and green. One of the ways to promote eco consciousness at home is to get your family actively involved in the recycling process. This means that everyone should be taught what products can be recycled. (more…)

I trust that we all want to do our part in to ensure that our environment stays as safe and healthy as possible for our children and future generations to come. Many people don’t stop to think how their household cleaners can affect the environment, and how toxic they can be when used in the home, especially if there is any young children around. With some careful thoughts, planning and effort, our homes can be cleaned safely and effectively, sparing the environment, our families and pets from toxic chemicals and fumes. (more…)

You may think that this is just another cool piece of accessory hung around your neck or wrist but would you believe if I tell you that this nice sterling silver pendant can actually save your life during emergencies? How, you wonder? Well, this is not just an ordinary jewelry that can be worn as a necklace or bracelet, but it is a Medical ID with engravings of your medical information including your blood type, drug allergies, emergency contacts, prescribed medications (if you have any) and other important info you want the doctor to know. Wearing one is a clever and elegant way to keep your personal medical info with you at all times and what makes it more cool is that there is a style for every person - female or male, young or old.

Because I work from home, sometimes I can get into the habit of having my lunch at my desk or cutting my breaks short. But the truth is taking a walk during break time and time away from the desk to recharge are probably the most important things you can do to recharge your battery. This may also be a great way to clear your mind and prepare to tackle the tasks at hand more productively and efficiently. So take five if you need to.
