Lindsay’s father, Michael Lohan has confirmed the reports of her daughter being in the institution. He said he and the rest of the family have begged Lindsay to check into a rehabilitation clinic for months, for her own health and in order to avoid being sent to jail. Now it seems that the actress will do both, although her family has written several letters to the Court stating that she does not belong to jail, instead she should be sent to rehab.

Lindsay Lohan has checked into the Pickford Lofts rehab facility on Wednesday, after being visited by her ex girlfriend, Samantha Ronson and her mother, Dina Lohan. During her rehabilitation, Lohan will get rid of her addiction not only to alcohol, but several types of prescription medication, such as Zoloft, Dilaudid and Adderall – all these have been reported to be taken by the 24 year old actress.

Robert Shapiro will try to convince the Court and Judge Marsha Revel to cancel Lindsay’s jail term or to minimize it. If he does not succeed, Lindsay Lohan will surely do time for her reckless behavior.
